Gaye is a Certified Nurse-Midwife who has been practicing in the Chicago area for over 19 years. She earned her undergraduate nursing degree at Loyola University of Chicago and her graduate degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago. She is a member of the American College of Nurse-Midwives and Evidence Based Birth. She is also an adjunct faculty member for the University of Illinois at Chicago, Frontier University, North Park University, and Regis College in Massachusetts. Gaye’s focus on health promotion and harm reduction allows her to care for patients throughout their lifespan—from adolescence to menopause. She has worked on numerous committees to expand access to individualized and respectful care that recognizes the uniqueness of every person. She believes that health care encounters should empower patients to be active participants in their own care.
Gaye lives in Chicago with her partner and their four children, and when she is not with patients, she enjoys gardening, reading, traveling, and spending time with her family and dog and cat.
