Classes NSAGO – Birth Your Way

Studies show that knowledge decreases stress and improves outcomes. This is one of our goals at NSAGO. We want to help you navigate and gain confidence in the journey your body is going through. Our goal is to empower you and your support person using evidence-based information that our doctors and midwives follow and believe in.

  • Anatomy of pregnancy and childbirth
  • Stages of labor
  • Optimal positions for labor and pushing
  • Comfort measures
  • Pain medication options
  • Warning signs, when to call your MD or Midwife
  • Medical interventions
  • Support persons-family, friends, doula, communication skills

Class Information

Thursday Series – Is a 2-week class. The classes are held from 6:30 pm to 9:30 pm. Classes are held at our Wilmette office, 328 Linden Ave
Sunday Express – Is ideal for persons wanting the basics all in one day. Classes are held from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. Classes are held at our Wilmette Office, 328 Linden Ave with an hour for lunch.

Your Instructors  

Halley Martin

Halley Martin, MSN, RN, CBC, LCCE

Halley graduated from DePaul University and began her career in Maternal Health Nursing and Nursing Education. Halley has worked at Evanston Hospital in Labor and Delivery her entire nursing career and also serves as a Professor in the School of Nursing at DePaul. She blends her passion for nursing and education teaching prenatal classes and she enjoys connecting with expectant families before their arrival for delivery at the hospital.

Annie Bogard

Annie Bogard, MSN, RN, CCE

Annie started working at Evanston Women’s Hospital as a patient care technician on the Mother Baby unit. After graduating nursing school, she moved down to the labor and delivery unit and has been there ever since. Annie has a Masters in Nursing from DePaul University and is a Certified Childbirth Educator.
