Kim Galloway RN, LCCE graduated from The University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee with a nursing degree and got her feet wet on a general medical floor at Evanston Hospital. While there, she and her husband Doug became pregnant with their first child, and would later have all three children through NSAGO. They took a birthing class before their first. It empowered them, took away so much stress about the process, and gave them the confidence they needed. She knew she’d want to share that confidence later with other mothers. After moving to labor and delivery, Kim started teaching infant CPR classes, added Lamaze certification and began teaching classes about the birthing process.
As Kim’s children grew she switched to being a school nurse in Mount Prospect to keep an eye on them, but she missed the world of pregnant moms. Ultimately, that feeling led her back to NSAGO where she is a practicing nurse and our Birth Your Way instructor. When she’s not teaching or nursing at NSAGO, she loves to be outdoors either jogging, biking, gardening or just enjoying a good book.
